NSE Certification Program Fall Updates

 The Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) program is set to undergo significant enhancements in the fall of 2023. These updates have been carefully crafted and researched over several years to address the rapidly evolving threat landscape and job market needs. Our primary objective with these updates is to satisfy both current and future requirements, ensuring that the NSE Certification program remains at the forefront of network security expertise.

Fortinet will continue awarding the current NSE certifications until October 1, 2023. All NSE certifications awarded until then will be honored by Fortinet until they expire.  Starting on October 1, 2023 Fortinet will begin awarding the new certifications to individuals who meet the requirements. Professionals can view what is required for each of the new certifications by visiting the associated certification page.

Below you will find details about the updates that have been made to the program to ensure its scalability, flexibility, and modularity. With new badging, the program now provides better identification of specific skills and knowledge acquired in a complex industry that supports various roles across multiple cybersecurity solutions and industry verticals.
